Ah! Young mother!
standing with son,
Pray tell us:
What you have done?
Why, the Future, my dear!
He’s standing right here.
And the Future has barely begun.
~
And what’s to be told
for the Future of old,
like us, no longer that young?
Does the Future behold
all that is best?
For the Future is never at rest.
~
Well, as I’ve been told,
it too, will unfold.
For a mother knows her youngster the best.
But old Father Time,
He will unwind,
and the Future will get old
as the rest.

You each had at least one or two great moments,
minimally;
let us celebrate that,
at least.
These words are insightful. Ferty is in all of us, I suppose.
