Do not disturb,
disrupt or perturb
the stone as it rolls
to its rest.
It’s been long coming down
from a Rock ‘n Roll round –
To leave it alone would be best.
And the worm
as it turns,
tunnels and churns;
it does what it does and does best –
Disposes of roses,
and elsewise compostes;
but all of what falls is not lost.
For the worm when it turns,
tunnels and churns,
it returns all it burns
back to dust.
Like the stone
it’s alone,
and each are at home –
It would be best
if we leave them at rest.
