The Geococcyx
  will stand his own ground;

the fastest Cuculidae
  of family around.

He still knows no Latin,
  at least so I’ve found,

nor none other lingua,
  but still has a sound.

And though he’s full-feathered,
  he’s unfettered, un-bound.

This rapid roadrunner,
  where his speed is profound,

is unknown, but only
  by cartoons – Renowned!
