Made it through

And still alive –

I’m sitting here, on third!

When I was younger,

So much younger,

One heard   no word   I said.

Yet, who was I?

This other guy,

Ego, thoughtless head.

Now here I am,

An older man,

Round third

Where the sound

Is much better heard.
