The Daffodil
appears at will,
decked-out in dapper yellow.
No Hesitation –
Presentation!
becomes the dashing fellow.
In bearing some green,
only amber is seen,
the color,
a friendly logo.
We spoil the child,
which makes him wild.
One cannot
but stop,
say “Hello.”
In bending the rules,
which makes us all fools.
A frenzy in friendliness follows.
He comes and he goes,
as ever he wishes –
Quick! is the prick
of what finishes.
The color yellow
befits the young fellow;
but when all gone,
we forget what done,
of dashing, dapper yellow.

Daffodils, dapper, dashing, yellow. I enjoyed this poem, it is bright and lively. The alliteration adds action … nicely crafted!
