The Venerable Season

It’s that time of year,
the coming again:
Green as the color,
the color of spring.

Birds singing freely,
swing limb from limb;
spring is the color,
of music they hymn.

Flora, abounding!
Colors, astounding!
Fauna, out standing
amid all and in

the green of the spring,
they come and revere;
But they do not know,
it comes once per year.

This is the reason
a season’s so dear –
Spring only comes,
once, every year.
