In a world turned around
they’re taking on Heroes,
    Heroes, new to the fore.

The world’s upside down,
but that’s how it goes
    when Heroes are Heroes no more.

The People have changed
from what they would do:
    Rearranged! It’s strange,
    estranged from the New.

No longer the same,
the name of the game:
    It’s a Change
    that you have to get used to.

Heroes were mentioned,
by what others said;

Stories unwritten,
forgotten instead.

Pages are turned,
from a book never read;

Life forges forward,
begotten by dead.
