~
And onward walks she and her peers
Like solemn sovereign isles,
bereft of joy in stoic tears
and more, she never smiles.
~
Very close to bellicose
belie their hidden smiles
The worlds they live they keep too close
these solemn sovereign isles.
~
So few convey an inner joy
they trek on endless miles,
withdrawn on self and thoughts employ
these solemn sovereign isles.
