I was born free, and easy, gentle on my mind.
nineteen sixty seven was a different time.
now, nothing is left, but to simply exist.
being one from some time, I incorporate this.
strange, how a culture can shock to the core.
itself is itself, of itself, it endures.
time slips away one second at a time.
the past holds on fast, to the mind, as a sign.
one half of that life, I could not resist.
nineteen sixty seven was a different zeitgeist.
born free, and easy, is mental in the mind.
nineteen sixty seven was a difficult time.

Marvin .
Are you in awe of ” Ghazal ” as in lyric composition ( Indian / Urdu ) ?
Sumita
Sumita, I like it. I wanted to do a Ghazal and this was my ‘first’ attempt at such. You can tell, I do like the lyric form.
in India , Marvin Ghazal is a very deep composition . Likes of Ustaad Bade
Ghulaam Ali , and Jagajeet Singh . Oh Marvin , have you heard of them ?
not until now, thank you.
How you find always , so interesting and creative idea to compose Marvin ? You leave us readers feeling great !
Thank you, very much! Very kind of you to say such. 🙂
