~
And Sixty-Seven
Ended much different,
A difference from whence it began.
Ed was a cousin; Ed was a friend;
And we never saw Edward again.
One decade long in the life of one man,
Is not so much long to the span.
But that’s where and what
We have here today,
That’s where
The whole thing
Began.
A Vietnam War
Took that and much more
That fifty years later
Understands.
Those there that died,
That’s where they reside,
Remembered
By those
Who still can.
And Time changes all,
For both good and appall –
So much for
Shape Shifting
Of Sand.
