To Have and Have Nought

~
Bonnie and Tillie,
    names now forgot;
Henry and Izzie,
    things that had thought.

Where goes hard winter
    when warm summer’s brought
Idles for kings, day dreams,
    and what?

Memory serves
    what day brings to sup;
Cupcakes and heartbreaks,
    to have and have nought;

To once was,
    was done;
To what once was,
    was sought;

Inclines and declines,
    to have and have sought.
Where goes it now,
    in throes all forgot?

To heart breaks and cup cakes,
The haves and have naughts?
