the final hour is the longest
~
Tic Tock Tic Tock.
~
all that came from heretofore
cast away
no more no more.
~
Tic Tock Tic Tock
~
the darkest hour is the last
no need no more
no more no more
~
so this is it for all that was
for all that was
and it all comes down to this

Tic Tock Tic Tock

no more

I really like this. I’m really into poetry that is expressed by other means than mere words alone can convey, space, form and structure all play into this idea. Great job here. Thanks
thank you
Lovely deep appropriate rhythm. K.
Stark reminder of the reality of letting go of everything. The tick tock seems to add finality to it all. Thanks for sharing, Marvin!
I’m with Victoria…the Tick Tock seems to be the crux of the finality.
Thanks for sharing. Very deep and meaningful.

There’s something about a clock isn’t there–the passage of time, too slow sometimes. Counting the minutes, waiting for something to change. A well-expressed piece. Thanks for sharing.
When reading this, I could just imagine that final hour…being the last… and time coming down… to stopping… Excellent portrayal of the end.
In the cold light of day, yep, it all comes down to this and that longest hour.
Great expression in few words in a form that is well matched to that tick tock.
The starkness on the page, and the brevity of this poem go so well with the topic.
