….
I read, today, where someone lamented:
“So where is the Challenge?
There isn’t a Challenge,
when everyone writes what ever they want.
A poem a day, in any old way:
Where’s Competition in that?”
To which, I thought, I would comment:
“It’s not Competition, but Celebration!
A poem a day, in any old way,
is a poem every day that we want.”
Competition, Cooperation –
In poetic circles, poetic thought
anapestic, iambic are forms to be sought.
Competitive Challenge, as forms they are not.
Celebration is effort where all poems are wrought.
