I’m Just The Poet

Tink's ChapBlog ~ Tales of the Tribe. Mythopoeic Verse

I’m just the poet;

    A real simple man.

Humble disquiet

    Pours forth from my hand.

None there dare read me;

    Nor me, understand.

I’m just the poet,

    With words in my pen.

No one reads poetry;

    Lest, the poet be dead.

        Onetime    had said.

This one’s a short one.

It’s not at all long.

By the time

    You reach here,

        It’s done!

And, I’m gone!
